Testnet and tokenomics of the Governance-driven SANA Network

2021-07-21

SANA network is fork of Swarm by the community through innovation of economic model and tech optimization. The community aims to make SANA network a truly scalable and decentralized infrastructure, and it strives to ensure an fair and incentive ecology where every discussion and option is well listened to.

Swarm took more than half of total token for fundraising and this move has imposed huge pressure to the market, which is often criticized by the community; whereas SANA does not place any fund-raise portion, meaning that the vast majority of SANA token will be allocated for mining. This action completely solves the problem of opaque token price at the early stage, giving miners clarity of value output.

During community governance, the community agreed that many projects in distributed storage have made a lot of bold attempts and breakthroughs in the direction of tech and distribution. SANA is grateful to Swarm and other projects for their outstanding contributions to this field. In this regard, SANA will take out a portion of token for airdrop to holders like BZZ at the main net on-lining. The community finds some characteristics-to-fix during practical application, and the network forking optimization is more and more positively incentive to users.

The technical document of SANA network will be fully open sourced in GitHub, and the test network is about to start comprehensive testing in multiple environments. The community hopes to optimize potential economic problems of the SANA network by pressure testing. In the process of governance optimization, the community will also be largely motivated by early bird airdrop.

The SANA network has experienced participation of many geek users and even miner celebrities and it shows that the community prefers completely fair and reasonable economic model projects.

SANA network uses TEE as the core technology of privacy encryption for safe data storage and attack-resistance from software and hardware for node holders by effectively-sliced distributed hardware-based privacy contents. The hardware and software integration framework of TEE + blockchain can be more practically deployed compared with other cryptography schemes such as zero knowledge proof. Thanks to verification links embedded into TEE for task execution, which needs no on-chain resource occupation, SANA user experience is maximized in the case of meeting the most basic market needs.

SANA network adopted ERC20 token $SANA, which based on the ETH-xDAI network as the governance token to stimulate transaction on the network and realize the function of recovery, redistribution and destruction of transaction fees. In terms of economic model, it can completely release the idle space of mining machines in the current market; It provides a more stable and guaranteed choice for miners, and even realizes mining of multi-projects, thereby making the entire network more powerful and more economical.

SANA adopts a two-layer mining structure to effectively incentivize node holders and trusted miners. Node miners will receive private computing rewards when they provide stable online nodes and effective CPU computing capabilities. When data storage, data reading and other supply and demand functions are generated, miners will receive supply and demand rewards.

Finally, we would like to thank Swarm for its outstanding contributions to the blockchain industry. SANA is a new network forked from the Swarm open source. It has all the features and functions of the Swarm network. SANA and Swarm have the same vision and are committed to building a decentralized storage and communication system which can be used in the digital era. During the actual application of Swarm, we found that there were irreconcilable contradictions in some characteristics which can be realized for the aim of lower transaction costs, more suitable economic models for nodes, and safer storage method by establishing something new.
